The seminars on color genetics are practically oriented, featuring numerous images and examples. They are designed for breeders who want to understand how color genetics can be used strategically in their breeding programs.
Color genetics encompasses far more than just the color genotype and the calculation of offspring. For instance, genetically black alpacas can appear brown to fawn, white-appearing alpacas can be homozygous black, and despite targeted matings based on color genotypes, offspring can exhibit surprising color patterns.
